Cost pressure from international competition, high quality requirements, and great flexibility needed in the market - all those are reasons for justified demands on the forging industry. Robust, clear design, operational safety, simple operation, serviceability, quick changeover to other products, and largely universal usability - or machine conceptions designed for a special purpose - are LASCO's prerequisites to meet these demands.

The technical development of classical machine tools for forging operations and careful attention to design concepts have resulted in machines being the optimum solution for the special requirements of our customers.

Machine tools and lines are individually designed and constructed by LASCO to meet the customer's specific requirements. Even completely unique solutions, i.e. the construction of special-purpose machines, have often been practiced by us.

The series of machines and lines built by LASCO are based on the processes applied for massive and sheet metal forming, as well as metal powder pressing. In some cases, different types of machinery are suitable for specific applications.

Universal forming press SSP

The hydraulic presses of the SSP series are a forming unit where the processes "hot extrusion" and "die forging" can be combined in a single press.

For hot extrusion the maximum forming force is available over the entire stroke at high forming speed. An exact energy dosing during die forging at a quick stroke sequence increases die life.

Special features:

  • Particularly rigid press frame in pre-stressed several-piece design
  • Long ram guides infinitely adjustable by taper gibs that ensure great accuracy even in the case of eccentric loads
  • Press head designed as oil reservoir with head cover to
    accommodate the compact press drive
  • Depending on the press size and speed one or several adjustableaxial piston pumps as immersion pumps on the head cover
  • A protective plate for the press table that prevents the driving in of the tools
  • Press cylinder and press piston in forged design with honed or ground running faces
  • Efficient memory-programmable control system with operator guidance, product data administration and modem for remote diagnosis
